NEXT BLOG ESSAY: What happened to the WWI clergy, that they bought into the government propaganda justifying “a war to end all wars”?
On the surface, the premise is absurd. Was “world peace” really the most effective ideal that could have been used to inspire the English, Americans, French, and allied nations to send millions of their youth to their battlefield maimings and deaths?
