I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot; so then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth (Revelation 3:15,16).

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted?  it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and to be trodden under foot of men. (Mat 5:13 – Sermon On The Mount)  [Note: Those were the words of the Author of Liberty, Jesus Christ, Himself – ed]

Note also the consistency of God’s Word throughout the Scriptures.  Freedom over the ever-attacking Satan is not free. Eternal vigilance is it’s price.

“Turn the other cheek” advocates,  and others who choose to stand neutral in the holocaust to our (America’s) God-given freedoms – who selfishly claim the blessings of salvation without fulfilling their Christ-mandated duties and calls to action: following are a few of many biblical imperatives. Note their consistency.

  • Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH the will of my Father which is in heaven. (Mat. 7:21).  [that is, after one has been born again, and his mind transformed.
  • …let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. (1 John 3:18)  “Truth” is Christ. “I am the way, the truth and the life.” (John 14:6) – [ed]
  • Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone (James 2:17). CONTEMPORARY EXPRESSION: “What you do speaks so loudly I can hardly hear a word you say.”
  • Do we make void the law through faith? GOD FORBID: Yea, we establish it. (Rom 3:31)
  • …be ye TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. (Rom 12:2)  [That is, salvation transcends mere words. – ed]
  • Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  (Mat 7:22)  [ie, Works-alone will not win our salvation. – ed] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Mat 7:23)

WHERE THERE IS NO VISION, THE PEOPLE PERISH: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. (Prov. 29:18)   [In world history, Christ alone,  through His “law”, is the “Author of liberty” – ed]

IF THE FOUNDATIONS BE DESTROYED, what can the righteous do? (Psalm 11:3) [Think of our secular public schools. – ed]

NOTE: Is there an escape from our God/Christ-mandated duties to engage in direct confrontation with evil according to our calling? [Ref. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8:  A SEASON FOR EVERYTHING]

RECOMMENDATION: to answer all of the above, re-read my last two blogs. (see right sidebar)

TO THOSE WHO PROFESS, “Don’t worry about it – God is in control!”, as their escape from obedience to His mandates to action, especially in these perilous times: bear in mind the power He has given us to win confrontations with Satan on any level:

I give you power to tread on serpents…and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).  [Achieving seemingly impossible victories over evil is the history of America’s Christian founding.- ed]
